STREET ART – Sponge bob Squarepants

Who’da thought I’d be posting about my two favourite things – Graffiti AND Spongebob Squarepants?!

Well over at the Nickolodeon studios based in Los Angeles in America – street artist Nychos has totally deconstructed Spongebob and created this fantastic (albeit a bit scary for kids) piece in his traditional style.

Nychos’ usual style is to dissect animals and people – and here even Spongebob Squarepants has received the anatomical separation.

“Workin at nickelodeon. Finished Bob! Had an amazing evening Meeting all those Crazy dudes and heads of nickelodeon! Cant Wait to See that hanging in their Conference room!”

Noticing how great Spongebob looks on canvas I decided to investigate to see what other artists have chosen to recreate these characters on larger canvasses.

Seems like Spongebob is the IDEAL character to paint on these very square facility boxes!
