CARDIFF-Castle Quarter in a tilt-shift miniature version!

Tilt-shift is a technique that creates pictures of real-life scenes that are manipulated to look like model photographs. It’s quite hard to explain – but once you see them it’s like looking down at your toy soldiers and cars as a kid. By changing the colours, contrast, blur, depth of view and the speed you can create this effect. There are loads of examples over at the Flickr Tiltshift group.

This is my first ever go at this so i’m not enitrely sure whether I’ve got it exactly right but I can only get better! To get the best effect you need a bit of height to create that ‘looking down on’ view so I opted to take the pictures from Cardiff Castle – both in and around! Feel free to leave comments or suggest other areas to try this out on!
