The annual trip to the market town of Abergavenny to sample some Christmas cheer from The Salvation Army playing festive songs on the high street to shoppers bustling for bargains in the vintage market. Abergavenny Market only opens on Tuesdays (why?) with the indoor and outdoor market having around 200 stands selling a huge range […]

XFACTOR – Pink tribute act from Caerphilly goes a bit crazy!

ITV 1’s flagship talent show The X Factor returned for the latest series on Saturday 19th August, 2012 and with it a whole host of entertaining singers. (There didn’t seem to be as many freaks and poor singers as previous series – but they now get to show these on ITV2 instead!) The one audition […]

GRAFITTI-New Spades characters popping up again

On my travels through the City Centre recently and imagine my surprise when I spotted a big bright pink thing on the window of Howell’s! Yep the cheeky little blob/whale character, by artist Spades, had made a return to Cardiff! This time aerosols weren’t used but instead a mixture of crayon and pens/ink?

GRAFFITI-Gets Eaten by that Naughty Stickman

There have been many displays of art under the bridge that carries the Western Avenue (A48) over the River Taff near the UWIC campus in Llandaf. The first photo I took was back in September 2010 where this great little red character featured predominently under the bridge.

CARDIFF-Classic South Wales Echo headlines!

All residents of Cardiff know that the city is full of a wide variety of people and has more than it’s fair share of characters and eccentric people. But do these South Wales Echo headlines really show how diverse our City really is? Are we worried more about booze, curry or Caroline Street?

Cardiff v Portsmouth

After previous high-profile clashes between both sides it was the turn of Portsmouth to take the trip to Cardiff in the latest Championship game at the Cardiff City Stadium. After previously beating Cardiff in the FA Cup final in 2008 it was middle of table Portsmouth looking to cause an upset to Cardiff’s push to […]

PHOTOS-Canal Parade, Butetown.

Taking a different route back from Cardiff Bay and veering down a slightly dodgy-looking side-street called Canal Parade. (Someone crossed off the obvious letter on the sign for humourous effect – and yes i still titter nearly everytime I see it!) The street didn’t look particularly inviting and looked quite run down, with some new […]

Over the last few weeks a mysterious stickman has been appearing around the suburbs of Cardiff West. With his stick-like body gracing walls from the City Centre, all the way over to Ely and even one near The Cardiff City Stadium. Have you spotted one further afield? I cannot make my mind up whether he […]
