Street Art – Jo¥ for Empty Walls Festival

EWPoster

The first Empty Walls festival was held throughout the Cathays and Roath parts of Cardiff in 2013.

The event attracted 12 local and international artists to transform the Capital’s streets to bring colour, culture and vibrancy to the city.

A whole range of artists painted the City including Phlegm, Colour Doomed, Run, 3Dom and Helen Bur. Click the link below to view the other artist’s contributions:-

Here artist Jo¥, had this blank canvas to work with!

Empty wall ready for some street art in Cardiff

Set just off City Road, Jo¥ has totally transformed this compact, uninteresting wall on Strathnairn Street and created this delightful piece in the process.

It’s really interesting that this piece hides between all the parked cars and vans – and moreso with the variety of bin bags and even a can of booze on the window cill. (Is this typical Roath?)
