A wander into Grangetown’s Sevenoaks Park revealed a whole host of brand new graffiti on the 140m legal wall that runs along the perimeter of the city’s park.
Previously being used for Roxejams over the past few years it was time to hold the latest Graffiti Jam-type event this time called The Gorfjam!
Held in memory of Tom aka Gorf who died in mid January back in 2011. Gorf has featured on many posts here in the past – with just a selection on this link.
A whole host of street and graffiti artists from across Britain including Mers, Epok, 3dom, Fois, Smak, Gregor and Rose attended and decorated this 600ft long wall with a mix of colour and interesting characters. Beginning with this piece from Best and Sinstars paying tribute to Gorf, Roxe and Peter.
There were two large pieces featuring some rodent type characters with a ponchon for icecream! I think the artists are Zoki and another name I just cannot decypher!
A lot of artists designed large pieces around the Gorf letters and some incorporated these letters into much more complex pieces complete with characters too.
These few were by Squid and CMK and is that a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle I see there?
Another huge one by Mesh featuring a very stylish/retro Adidas tracksuit – think you can spot an old 3Dom piece at the top here!
Above is a rather splendid piece from Sepr and last but not least another fantastic creation below by 3Dom – full post on this at :- https://djleekee.wordpress.com/street-art-3dom-takes-part-in-the-gorfjam/
