Over the weekend of 20th April, 2013 the massive ITV search for the next singing superstar came to Cardiff.
Initial auditions were held at The Millennium Stadium with host Dermot O’Leary in charge of proceedings. Judges of Gary Barlow, Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh and Nicole Sherzinger were not present as these were only the preliminary auditions held infront of X Factor producers.

Thousands of X Factor hopefuls flocked to the capital in the hope of securing a place in this year’s competition. It’s estimated that around 3,000 people got up early on Saturday morning to join the huge queue snaking it’s way along the Millennium Walkway that stretches from The Millennium Stadium to Canton Bridge.

The sun was shining and everyone was in fine voice. The X Factor team got everyone to do the usual arm waving and screaming but this time they also tried a few different things.
