A Cardiff City supporters group has raised enough money to buy a billboard in a prime location close to the Cardiff City Stadium.
Since mid-August the full sized billboard has been on display to all passing traffic and pedestrians located next to the Leckwith Road bridges.
The supporters are grouped under the title ‘Bluebirds Unite‘ with their core desire and message for Cardiff City to return to playing in a blue coloured kit.
The billboard is emblazoned with the group’s Bluebird emblem and complete with the slogan:-
” HISTORY – IDENTITY – PRIDE “
The billboard is reported to have cost over £700 – with the funds being raised by the members of ‘Bluebirds Unite‘.
It was unveiled in time ready for Cardiff City’s first home game in the Premier League against Manchester City and should be in place for one month.
The billboard was designed by Cardiff-based Oner Signs who also feature the Bluebirds Unite design on many other items including t-shirts, umbrellas and stickers! Check out the shop at www.onersigns.co.uk
Talking of stickers it seems that some Polish and Swansea football related stickers have started appearing around the Cardiff City Stadium in the last week – with some craftily placed Bluebird’s Unite ones to hide their messages!
