Nestling just a few metres away from Cardiff Castle it’s one of Cardiff’s thinnest but most interesting streets – also it’s one of the most incorrectly pronounced street names in Cardiff – Womanby Street! Housing numerous pubs, offices, Clwb Ifor Bach and now The Cardiff Fashion Quarter.

This north end of Womanby Street has always been a bit drab and boring with boarded up windows and doors, endless metal shutters and plain walls. So to help bring this street alive a selection of street artists were commissioned to create some public art to be displayed on The Cardiff Fashion Quarter walls.
Over a period of about two weeks each artist turned up to add their masterpiece to the walls trying to avoid the dismal weather that threatened each day. Luckily all work was finished on time ready for the launch of CFQ and Cardiff Fashion Week! Artists included Peaceful Progress, Diego Zelaya and Colour Doomed.
