After the Lego Minifigures posed outside the Olympic rings at Cardiff City Hall (see more here – https://djleekee.wordpress.com/2012/07/12/olympics-lego-figures it was time for them to take a trip to the medieval Cardiff Castle.
A brief history of the castle:-
- 55 – 400 AD The Romans establish a fort and trading post.
- 1091 – 1216 AD The Normans raise a mottle and bailey castle, replacing their old wooden keep with a stone version.
- 1216 – 1306 AD The Claires build the Black Tower and linked to the keep with a massive defensive wall.
- 1411 – 1445 AD The Beauchamps build the Octagon and hall block.
- 1766 – 1947 AD The Butes enlarge and alter the house then transform into the current Gothic revival style.
So after The Romans and Normans it was time for the Lego Minifigures to invade the Castle!
I wonder where the Lego Minifigures will turn up next in Cardiff?
