Around 70,000 people packed Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium for the latest Men’s Football game featuring Team GB against Uruguay as part of the London 2012 Olympic games.
A steady stream of supporters flowed into the stadium whilst a relaxed police presence looked on.
As with every football and rugby match being held at the stadium thousands of fans gathered in Westgate Street prior to kick-off soaking up the atmosphere and mingling with fans that have travelled that little bit further.
Here are some young Uruguay fans and some chaps pushing a loud speaker along pumping out some really retro tunes – does anyone know who they are?
It was also great to see the infamous bollards now in operation acting as a fortress around the Millennium Stadium – even if they did take forever to install!
A huge Olympic 2012 image has been projected onto the side of Cardiff Castle each night. Many people stopped by to pose for photos (one lady I chatted to loved our great city but was in total disbelief at how young some of the girls out late at night were and that some of them were as young as 14!!!)
