CARDIFF-Loud fireworks heard late at night.

It was a cold, rainy, windswept Friday night with no real reason to step outside and sample the delightful weather our Summer had offered us.
Late into the night about 22:50 loud bangs could be heard rumbling across parts of Cardiff with many people taking to Twitter to ask where they were coming from and why!

Thanks to a few in the know (and at the event) it became apparent that local insurance company Admiral were holding a Summer Party at Cardiff Castle complete with a PA from Jessie J amongst others!

This then provoked something I remembered reading in this month’s Capital Times

The way that article is phrased doesnt really clear things up at all. But my understanding is that you are not allowed to set off fireworks between 11pm and 7am unless it’s a celebration! There is a fine of upto £5000 applicable if you do. I wonder if anyone has actually been fined at all – how could the Council prove that your fireworks WEREN’T a celebration.
