CARDIFF-Is the Millennium Stadium on fire?

Cardiff Fire
Seems like there was a huge fire in Cardiff on this Sunday morning. From the angle of this photo it does appear to be coming from the Millennium Stadium!
I know they have been working hard with those lamps to prepare the pitch for the next Six Nations match but maybe someone has turned them on too high!? Or the other possibility could be that as James Corden is in town and filming Dr Who at the Millennium Stadium – he’s just setting the place alight with his comedy genius??

But, of course, the fire was actually down at Trident Park in Cardiff Bay where some scrap metal and tyres had caught fire – where 8 fire appliances attended to get it under control.

The dark plume of smoke could be seen from far around – with this the video from alongside the Millennium Stadium and ending down Cardiff Bay just as it was fully put out.

  1. Thats the rod and bar mill.

    • Thanks for your comment. I havent been inside those buildings since the 1990’s so am not sure which one is which anymore.

Was an amazing plume of smoke that day from some tyres that were on fire in the Trident Park – is that a whole area or a separate building/site?
