The weather was changeable, sunny one minute then torrential rain the next. So much so, that massive puddles were left around the City which prompted some inspiration and the idea to capture some of the well-known sights ‘in reflection.’ Featuring Cardiff Castle, City Hall and the Millennium Stadium. Well worth a wait for the ‘twist’ 😉
Also whilst walking around the City Centre I captured some photos taking on the reflection theme beginning with part of the St David’s 2 Shopping Centre being reflected in one of the many stone/marble seats. There was also a fantastic shadow being cast from The Tabernacl sign aswell.
A pretty obvious and traditional shot – but the fantastic architecture of The Park Thistle Hotel being reflected in the modern Capitol Shopping Centre.
Also a strange phenomenom of some really low sunlight being reflected from random windows illuminating The Owain Glyn Dwr pub on Working Street.
And to finish on The Millennium Stadium – with the huge supports casting striking shadows on the surrounding buildings.
Lovely shots. If only the light were like this most days – as opposed to on rare occasions!
