A quick walk around Canton and my first bike ride up the Taff Trail to reveal some new graffiti for 2011. I found some really cracking pieces and also some more mundane tags!
First up some stick-up from D-Fault just off Queen Street in the City Centre.
Found this ‘contraversial’ piece near the Cardiff City Stadium by Reddy – I do love the pink glow sticks and VIP pass featured in this one!
Just behind Home Bargains in Canton, there are some really grotty garages, graffiti’d facility boxes and just loads of rubbish strewn everywhere – ideal for some great photos then!
Moving along Cowbridge Road East and these were found around the junction by The Corporation pub. Some festive ramblings and a stick-up by CMK!
Moving along the Taff Trail and another ‘mazing display from Eat! The mind boggles just how on earth this one was achieved!
As the leaves on the trees were pretty barren it meant that you could see the back of Radyr train station for once – which was covered in more graffiti. It unearthed this display – possibly by Eat again?
Crossing under the M4 and further on past the A470 revealed some tagging on the underpass and a fantastic sticker on a road-sign.
Moving past Taffs Well and onto the disused railway track to reveal that all the metal sheeting along the way has infact been painted pink and blue oblitorating all the old graffiti that had graced them for years! But alas some young chappy (aged about 12) had just finished his ‘work’ and legged it when he saw me coming. I didnt realise how young some of the graf crew actually are!
No Taff Trail route is complete without a quick pass via Hailey Park and the wonderfully colourful pieces on display there!
