Cardiff 4am Project 2010

The aim of the 4amproject is to gather a collection of photos from around the world at the magical time of 4am.
Everyone can take part and join in! All you need is a camera, upload it to a Flickr account and tag it with 4amproject or some regional equivalent like 4amprojectcardiff! And then after the whole world has uploaded and tagged their photos there is a snapshot in time of life on this planet at 4am!

The 4am Project was originally the brain child of Karen Strunks who created the original event and is gearing up for the next one in April.
Sunday 4th April 04/04 is the next big day. Put it in your diary. Set your alarm clock!
Play your part in compiling a global snapshot capturing the world at 4am.

  1. Glad you like the idea DJLeekee. Definitely tag the photos 4amporjectCardiff or I won’t know which ones are from this city!

Look forward to seeing your pics.

    • Will do but i think ive already run into 2 problems!
That date is actually Easter Sunday in the Uk and it seems im working 0930 – 1900 on the Saturday and Sunday!
Therefore, I cant decide whether to stay up and take photos THEN goto bed or goto bed early THEN get up early and stay up for work! Decisions, decisions. Got a few more people interested in it. We gotta start thinking of where to shoot!

PS We all use Photobucket rather than Flickr – but we can still tag in Photobucket accounts!

  2. Hello!

Thank you for blogging about the 4am Project! 🙂

There’s been quite a lot of interest in the project from Cardiff, which is ace. Hope you all enjoy your 4am Photo experience. If you blog about it, let me know and I’ll give it a shout out on twitter: http://www.twitter.com/4amproject

About the tags… flickr is precise when it comes to tags and searches. May I suggest that you tag your 4am images ‘4amproject’ as without using just that tag the photos will be harder to find. Of course you may also use ‘4amprojectcardiff’ which will help you find all your images too. And if you fancy geo tagging your photographs, that would be great too.

If you have any questions, or would like me to put a tweet out for you, just give me a shout.

Hope you have lots of 4am photo fun! 🙂
