Beer festival at Artisan Brewing Company – Saturday 6th March.
Well it seems it’s that time of year already and time for another beer festival courtesy of the Artisan Brewing Company.
Located alongside a small alleyway off Kings Road, Pontcanna, a venture through to reveal a small area containing a bar, marquee, seating area, performing platform(stage!) and barbeque area. Also on-site toilets and other delights.
The Artisan Brewing Company is a micro-brewery which produces hundreds of pints of beer a week. It is owned by Simon Doherty, a self-confessed beer-nerd and has a license to freely open up for a limited amount of times per year (was it ten or 12 times a year – I cant remember! damn that gorgeous strong beer!)
So the next event is on Saturday 6th March where the weather forecast is looking really good but still remember to bring along a jacket for when the sun goes down and the fun really starts. Once again there will be loads of local bands performing and loads of Barenaked Beers flowing!
The beer he produces is called Barenaked Beer and here is a short movie that JacBond has made on how Simon creates the special brew! I remember having my very first pint of it last year and only remember going back for the second. It is extremely strong and I definately couldnt see straight at the end of the night with everything being a bit of a blur. Happy daze!
