Seems that Cardiff Rugby Club Ltd aka Cardiff Blues are in court today with threats of a winding-up order.
Court hearing list located HERE
They are listed as company 380 in 2010 and are in the list as “380 /2010 Cardiff Rugby Football Club Limited”
According to the Cardiff RFC wiki page it seems that Cardiff Rugby Club Ltd are the parent company of both Cardiff RFC and Cardiff Blues.
Surely going to the new Cardiff City Stadium and utilising their facilities and with the possibility of selling/leasing the old Arms Park site on Westgate Street couldve earned them a larger income stream?
UPDATE from Walesonline.com
CARDIFF Rugby Football Club Limited was listed in court today over an unpaid tax bill.
The organisation, which runs both the Cardiff Blues and Cardiff Rugby Club, is in the Comapanies Court Winding Up List at Her Majesty’s Court Service in London.
The company has been in arrears with its tax bill, but executives said today that all the bills have been paid and the court hearing is just a “technicality.”
Cardiff Blues chief executive Bob Norster said: “The hearing relates to a tax bill before Christmas but we sorted it out immediately.
“HM Revenue and Customs wrote to us and said there’s no case to answer.”
Cardiff Rugby Club’s finance director Alan Doull added: “It’s just a legal technicality where somebody has to stand up in the court and say ‘yes they’ve paid the bill.”
“We were about a month in arrears but we paid it and had a letter on February 1 to say it’s all sorted.”
