OK Sunday mornings, plus hangover normally equals dodgy mashup time! Well I like to try and justify them by saying that are just a bit of fun! (Maybe not as annoying as The Crazy Frog Megamix though!!)

So this time taking the humungous hit from Leona Lewis and totally cheesing it up with some Macarena action from Los Del Rio (or was it Los Del Mar?)

MASHUP-Calvin Harris vs R.E.M. -Alone Love

As REM have recently announced that they are breaking up?!?! (who actually knew they were still together!!) I thought it was time to dust down one of their acapellas and mix it up with some Calvin Harris.
This is only a test mix – i cant make my mind up whether to pitch up or down one of the pellas!
But here it is for you all to sample……all feedback appreciated! Ive now had a further tweak and notched the acapella down so both are supposed to match! (lol)

MASHUP-Black Eyed Peas-I gotta feelin (DJ Leekee Garage Mix)

Taking the fantastic track from The Black Eyed Peas (ok its a bit overused but it’s such a classic already) and mixing it up with some UK garage from Wile Out and some piano madness from David Guetta! Result! I originally featured a short version of this in my Dance Yearmix 2010 and thought I’d try and turn it into a full length track. Maybe a few more mashups with inspiration from the Yearmix to come soon!

MASHUP-The Spice Girls vs The Mashup Kids-Take me to the wannabe clouds(DJ leekee Mix)

I just had a spare hour (or two) and felt like doing something (mildly) creative and so churned this one out. I know its all bit cheesey but I like cheese and hope other people do to! All my latest mixes have verged on the wrong side of cheese – maybe ive seen that whole in the market!?

It’s taking the top selling hit from The Mashup Kids(later released as LMC vs U2 with Rachel Mcfarlene on vocals) and mixing it with the Europop version of Wannabe by The Spice Girls. Ive tried my best to hide the synths and other bits of instruments that popped through in the mix and hopefully it will be an enjoyable Spice Girls excursion for you all.

MP3-Crazy Frog vs Pat from Abertridwr Mashup

Well after hearing Pat from Abertridwr appear on national radio I just knew that I had to do summat with it. Pat originally appeared on The Chris Needs Show on BBC Radio Wales but it was such a bizarre clip that it ended up being featured on Scott Mills’ Radio One show – where it is captured in all it’s glory in a previous post here.

It was begging for something to be done to it – so i’ve gone for quite an obvious mix using the Crazy Frog! Im using very little of Chris Needs OBE but loads of Pat from Abertridwr! ENJOY.

Swedish House Mafia vs CJ Bolland-One is Sweeter(DJ Leekee Mashup)

Well this one does exactly what it says on the tin!

Taking the 2010 house stormer from the Swedish House Mafia and mixing it up with the classic Armand Van Helden remix of CJ Bolland‘s Sugar is Sweeter.

Rather than go straight for the massive breakdowns ive tried teasing the riffs a bit and dropping em both ways around! It seems the riffs from both tracks are actually quite similar but constructed slightly differently – so hopefully you wont be able to spot my edits of the main riff too much!

Well I thought it was worth a post just to announce my first video on YouTube to amass 1,000,000 hits!
